Taipei Zoo

We decided to jump on the Muzah line and head all to way south east to the Taipei Zoo.
The animal variety was great. Huge zoo!
I really liked the architecture and plants too.
We saw a "passion" flower growing naturally there!!

here we are inside the iNSECT exhibit

Here are some other animals we saw along the way

Though Australia is famous for its koala bears, they had 6 at the Taipei zoo.

happy chimp

huge primate -- stood as tall as a big tall fat man--but looked meaner

This Taiwanese Bear was just as frienldy as a typical Taiwanese person.... came right up to us and sat on a log.
He was curious about us, kept his eyes fixed on us, we had quite the enounter with this bear--seriously he was almost with in reaching distance of us! such a friendly creature :)
We strongly suggest a visit to this zoo. Though it's not like the scantily gated, suprisingly thrilling zoos we have seen in 3rd world countries, it is world class.
