the first "weird food" we ate here in Taiwan was at Michaels tasty noodles. i (Megan) was starving! and needed to eat asap so i insisted that we eat at this restaurant even though i didn’t know what they served. all in chinese. i saw noodles in a bowl, sounded fine. i pointed at the least conspicuous looking picture of food and said that we wanted 2 on this. turns out i ordered noodles in a thick broth with raw oysters and pork intestines. M M M M M M. wasn’t bad, and we got along with Michael famously! he even gave us free stuff!

Bert quenching his lotto obsession :)

So we were testing out this massaging equipment (back massager, calf and foot massager and head massager all at once--we looked so totally hip!!) at the takashimaya department store and this old man was checking us out. he took a pic of us and took pictures of us with our camera. We e-mailed back a couple of times too. Taiwanese people are SOOOO unbelievably friendly and interested in foreigners.
