Wedding

This is our experience; going to a traditional Taiwanese wedding in NanLiao. The food was great. We sat and ate dinner for 3 hours....lots of food! Taiwanese wedding receptions are full of imperial, very expensive fare. But in my opinion, lack the excitement of western receptions...ie: dancing, dj's, ect... Though over all a wonderful experience. The bride wore 3 equally stunning wedding gowns throughout the event, this was one of my favorite Taiwanese Wedding Traditions.

Jubei by night; a night shoot of this quaint Taiwanese town

Night shooting is my favorite type of artistic photography. In Grand Rapids, Michigan there is a huge river running through the downtown district, and bridges serve as the perfect subject for night shooting. Also there are a lot of tall buildings that create a cityscape..In jubei there are not a plethora of modern buildings, but it does have its own nightly charm.

Mountain Hike in Fulong

This is a dayhike we went on near Fulong beach. This area is in northeastern Taiwan. Perfect weather, great group of people, it was a great hike.

Cycling around the island Part#2

Cycling around the island Part#1

Mabye we are crazy...I like to think of it as being adventurous, but either way, we spent chinese newyear 2010 riding our bicycles around the perimeter of the island. Just Albert and myself--really put the chinese skills to work :) The trip took 11 days total. 695 miles total. We rode a train for the northeastern part of the trip, so we clocked a grand total of 524 miles.

it was great! enjoy these pictures.
